Fifty Thousand and Counting

I’m not sure if this constitutes a celebratory milestone but I wanted to alert you all that I have officially reached the fifty thousand word mark on the blog.

I never had a goal for this site, other than to show my writing and to force myself to write.

So those are two goals. I had two goals.

My point is that I never had an official word goal where I could go “All right! I’ve made it!”

Now that I read over that again, that just sounds like a stupid idea. I didn’t say everything I come up with is gold… silver… maybe pork bellies, but not gold.

But fifty thousand words is a nice accomplishment, especially since most of my posts are chapters and excerpts. Of course, when you divide that number by the four projects I’m currently working on, it’s just over 12,500. Which technically sucks.

Realizing your inadequacy, Dave?

Yeah… Yeah, I am…

God, this sucks.

P.S. Dave is actually being sarcastic. He’s in the back, jumping up and down. How he’s doing that is a problem for my logic… Now I’m confused.
